Guest Speaker

Purpose

The purpose of the Guest Speaker is to gain information, inspiration or training in some area of ministry.

 

 

How is it done

A Chapter member or officer identifies an area of interest to explore.
Locate a potential speaker and inquire about the availably and cost of the speaker
Determine if the Chapter is interested
Schedule a time for the presentation and make the commitment to the speaker
Ask the speaker what extra items are need for the presentation
Advertise the presentation so that there can be a good audience
Obtain the items the speaker needs
Set up the items before the speaker arrives
Have coffee and snacks for the speaker and audience. (This is a good way to break down the distance between the speaker and the audience so that everyone gets the most out of the presentation.
Attend the presentation

What you need

The officers need to create an astrosphere where someone will suggest ideas
Follow up on the suggestion
Plan the meetings several months in advance so that all can be encouraged to attend
