Personal devotions are just that: Personal expressions of devotion to God.

They are personal in that, although the basic format is the same for everyone, the nature of the expression will be unique to each Christian. That is why the prayers included here are suggestions; they have been chosen for their appropriateness for a particular time of day. However, if you have concerns or needs that would be better expressed by others, either from the Book of Common Prayer, or those spontaneously offered from your heart, don't hesitate to use them. He receives us as the unique people that we are, and accepts whatever we have to give him each day.

Take Time For Personal Devotions
We have included ten short devotionals written by Bro. Robert Nagiel which follow a simple format of READ, MEDITATE, and PRAY. Try these, and then adventure out on your own. If you need further direction, your Rector or your Chapter Director should be able to help you. You will find that as you are faithful to take time for personal devotions, your devotion to Christ will grow.
